Board-certified anesthesiologist Michael Pedro, MD, and his wife, Danielle, founded MD Esthetics in 2018 with the goal of making their patients more confident. Dr. Pedro believes the keys to building confidence through natural beauty are by educating patients on how the aging process is affecting them through a comprehensive consultation, developing a long-term treatment plan, maintaining high standards of quality, and utilizing evidence-based research and years of clinical expertise.

He also understands that patients may be fearful of “looking fake” and, therefore, apprehensive about receiving treatment. To help overcome these fears, he uses the “Golden Ratio” to ensure your proportions are harmonized and then creates a tailored cosmetic treatment plan to meet your individual needs.

Five years ago, Dr. Pedro was introduced to the field of medical esthetics and quickly fell in love with the industry. He completed his first injectables training at the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, received several private trainings, has been mentored by Erika Barry (ie: Injector Bunny), and completed SWIFT Beauty’s Master Injectables Course. He is also known for combining his anesthesia knowledge and skills with medical esthetics to improve patient safety and outcomes. Dr. Pedro received his undergraduate degree from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and attended medical school at Saba University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He was the former Chief Medical Officer for Vyaire Medical, a world leader in respiratory devices, and has published numerous studies in prestigious medical journals and presents at medical conferences worldwide.
