Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) - MD Esthetics

Use Your Blood to Revitalize Your Body!

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a medical treatment that involves using a patient’s own blood to promote healing and tissue regeneration. It is often used in various medical and cosmetic procedures. It is known to help¬†improve skin texture, reduce wrinkles, and stimulate collagen production.

How does it work?

PRP with Vivace RF Microneedling – Each puncture of the Vivace tip creates a microchannel that triggers the body to produce collagen and elastin. By applying PRP during and after your microneedling treatment, bio-cellular products are introduced into and retained by the treated skin, producing the desired benefits.

PRP Injections – A stand-alone treatment or used in conjunction with micro-needling. This procedure stimulates new collagen and enhances the growth of new healthy skin. It is also an effective treatment for stretch marks and loose, crepey skin. It takes several months for the full results to be seen, but immediate, short term benefits can be noticed as soon as injections are given. Growth factors start working immediately, and the injected platelets are activated and release additional growth factors that accelerate the desired effects.

PRP with Injectable Fillers – Also known as a PRP Facelift. Your medical provider will directly inject the PRP with the filler, where the full benefit of the PRP is delivered directly to the area where it produces the maximal benefits.* The combination of PRP with filler addresses most of the major issues contributing to premature or undesirable signs of aging skin. Very effective for the reduction of wrinkles, and for improving appearance around the eyes and mouth.

Seeing Results

Most patients require at least 3 treatments (1 month apart) to achieve their desired results, given cells turn over every 30 days. After that, we recommend at least one session every 6 months to maintain texture and tone.

Ideal for treatment of acne scars, stretch marks, surgical scars, fine lines & wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, crepey skin, sun damaged skin, large pores, and uneven skin texture

*As with all procedures, results may vary from person to person
